The Chilliwack School District has partnered with Vancouver Community College to offer a unique dual-credit program for students wishing to become a Professional Cook.
Grade 12 Students can earn their PC1 credential, providing them with the knowledge and skills required for immediate employment in the food service industry. Students will learn from a Red Seal Chef Instructor in a professional training kitchen environment, located at Imagine High Secondary School.
Tuition fees are covered by the School District. Required equipment, textbooks and supplies are the student's responsibility.
Students must complete all required Grade 11 courses, as well as English 12 and their Indigenous grad requirement, in advance, to be eligible to participate in this full-time program in their Grade 12 year.
